GUAYAQUIL Panoramic & Historical Park

The tour starts in Parque Seminario, where you can admire the many exotic iguanas. Passing by the neoclassical Town Hall and the Moorish Clock Tower, you will arrive at Malecón Simón Bolívar, a two miles long beautiful waterfront along the Guayas River.Then you take a walk through the historic district of Las Peñas, at the foot of the Santa Ana hill followed by a visit to the cemetery with its impressive mausoleums and tombs made from Carrara marble by Italian Artists during the cocoa boom in the early 20th century. In Parque Histórico Guayaquil you will learn about nature and culture of the coastal region of Ecuador. On beautifully landscaped boardwalks you can stroll through an animal park in the middle of the mangrove swamps on the banks of the river Daule. You will see endangered species such as tapirs, spider monkeys, crocodiles, sloths, parrots and much more. In the cultural section of the park there are town houses dating from the cocoa boom. Finally, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the tropical metropolis from Cerro Paraíso, located in the Bellavista neighborhood. On the way back to the hotel you will know the waterfront of Estero Salado and the beautiful Parque Centenario.
